PRICING

The price of a puppy will vary according to his or her quality. Some of the factors we consider when pricing a puppy are :

1) Pigment (nose, eye rims and paw pads) : the darker the pigment, the better the quality.

2) Estimated adult weight : Puppies that are charting within the CKC weight standard (3 – 7 pounds), will be priced higher than a larger “throwback” puppy.

3) Conformation to the breed standard : A long-eared or long-nosed puppy will not be priced as high as a teddy bear faced puppy that is more conform to CKC’s breed standard.

Prices vary between 3 000$ and 3 500$ CAD for a white or wolf sable puppy,  sold on a spay/neuter contract.

Prices vary between 5 000$ and 6 000$ CAD for a puppy sold with breeding rights.

WAITING LIST

The people on our Waiting List get priority in choosing their puppy. Priority order is determined by the date we receive a deposit. To be put on the Waiting List, we ask for a 50,00$ CAD deposit, which is non refundable but applied to the purchase price of the puppy. This is the only way to guarantee yourself a puppy.

To place a deposit, you can contact us by e-mail or through our Facebook page after sending in your Puppy Application. We accept e-transfers within Canada or a Paypal transfer outside of Canada.

We do always reserve the right to keep any puppy for ourselves if an outstanding pup is born that we believe will benefit our breeding program.

WHY IS A PUPPY SO EXPENSIVE ?

COST OF QUALITY PARENTS

A breeding and show quality WHITE pomeranian can cost anywhere between 5 000$ and 15 000$, depending on where in the world you are buying from (exchange rates), reputation of the breeder, number of champions in the pedigree, age of the dog, their quality, etc.

A quality WOLF SABLE will usually cost between 5 000$ and 8 000$ and shipping for any dog is around 1 000$ to 1 500$ per dog.

While purchasing a puppy as a breeding prospect might come on the cheaper side of that range, you also run the risk of him or her not turning out to be breeding or show quality, in which case they are sold to a pet home for a small fraction of your purchase price and you are back to square one.

The cost of showing the parents to championship can also vary widely, but, when hiring a handler, tends to range between 3,000 – 6,000$ per dog, depending on how long it takes to title them.

RECURRING COSTS

ONE-TIME COSTS

On top of the above recurring costs, there are one-time  costs that tend to be on the higher end, which need to be distributed among the different litters. The price of the puppy helps cover some of these expenses.
